The responsibilities of an Amity Teacher include, but are not limited to the following:
* Plan and teach fun, student-centered English conversation lessons to students ages 6 months to 18 years old using Amity teaching methods
* Maintain daily communication with parents regarding weekly lesson
* Interview and counsel prospective students
* Support the growth and development of the branch school through various marketing responsibilities
* Prepare progress records during specified periods throughout the school year
Minimum Qualifications:
* BA/BS degree (all majors considered) from an accredited university
* Native level speaker of English (Completion of elementary and secondary education in English only)
* Experience working with children (especially babies and pre- school aged children)
Other Helpful Attributes:
* Teaching experience or background in education
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Willingness to learn and apply Amity's teaching methods
* Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and adapt to cultural differences
* Ability to work and make contributions in a team environment
* Commitment to student satisfaction and success with a strong student-centered, customer service focus
* Sales/customer service experience
* Japanese language ability
